The hydrophilic swelling action of these components when
contacted by water is designed to create a positive seal against the face of the concrete joint and prevent water entry into the area through the protected joint. Distributed under the Rim Seal name, these Waterstop products are designed for use on foundation wall slabs, slabs-on-grade, precast wall panels, manholes, pipe connections, box culverts, utility and wet wells, and potable water
tanks.
The range consists of –
- A series of tapes suitable for fresh and saline water environments with an expansion ratio of up to 300%.
- One component hydrophilic adhesive (cartridge) for waterstop applications in difficult access areas.
- Liquid Hydrophilic Polyurethane with a swelling ratio greater than 400% for use as a waterstop on sheet pile locks.
- Extended PVC Waterstop components with hydrophilic rubber elements for installation prior to pouring of the concrete.
